Oriental dwarf Kingfisher :

What adds to the flavor of monsoon is the food we gorge on, a crab in my beak and a evening by the shore for the memories to cherish on.

thanks all for lovely comments,

@ Sabyasachi - there is village about 30 kms from Chiplun Railway Station called Shervalli village and there is a place, A small home cum cottage called Eagle Nest birding which is run by Nishikant Tambe, there you get this beauty.

@ Roopak - i was using 100-400mm, so shot this one in different ranges posted this one for now in 365mm will be posting full zoomed in shots in coming days as well...

Beautiful colours. Nice eye contact. Great you got it with a catch. Slight off centered composition would have enhanced the image further. Thanks for sharing.

thanks Mrudul... agree with you on slight off centered, had i been using 500mm or 600mm then would have definitely framed it off center, with a bird more closer than this...

Nice capture.. This year During Ganpati Festival, I drove to my home and stopped at Chiplun, for this beauty but probably It has changed its regular nesting spot. Missed it completely this time. Thanks for sharing
