Short-toed Snake Eagle Circaetus gallicus
EOS40D, 500f4 + 1.4 II converter, ISO 100, on Aperture Priority @ f5.6, 1/200.
I'd love to have your comments on this image shot on ISO 100. I was very close to this bird and decided to crop the image for composition. With extreme perversity the STSE seems to spook easily when on a natural perch, but when on an electric pole, they refuse to fly.
Using Sabyasachi's calculation of crop factor, I created a small Excel file which tells me that this is a 59% crop of the original.
Thanks for looking, C & c welcome.
