This was shot with my Canon A 580 fully auto camera, in the dormitory at Aranya Nivas, Similipal in Nov 2008. Knew nothing about photography at that time :). Yet this is one of my favourite creatures, so wanted to share it.
Shooting Mode Auto
Tv (Shutter Speed) 1/60
Av (Aperture Value) 7.1
ISO Speed 80(Auto)
Flash On
AF Range Mode Macro
Not very sure of the ID. Please help if you can. S.Indian Spiders has a similar looking one but describes the size as much smaller than what I saw. The body of this one was at least 4-5 cm long. According to a friend of mine, its bite is moderately venomous and can cause local pain, swelling etc. for some time.
Thanks for viewing, comments and critiques awaited.
