Nyctibatrachus minimus | Kabbinakad hills, Kodagu, Karnataka

Scarcely bigger than a fingernail in size, this is the smallest frog in India. It is immensely difficult to spot this frog in its preferred habitat of stream-side leaf litter, even after pinpointing the location from its calls. This species is recorded only from Wayanad (Kerala) and adjoining areas in Kodagu (Karnataka). This image was made near a stream in a patch of shola forest in Kabbinakad.

Canon 500D, Canon 100mm Macro USM

I had posted the call earlier- http://www.indiawilds.com/forums/showthread.php?14634-Miniature-Night-Frog

Thanks, C&C welcome.
