The Agastya mountains are a trekkers paradise and the range looks imposing.It gives lot of happiness once you conquer the second highest peak south of the Himalayas......(Some confusion exists regarding this as some say this is not correct).The Eastern slope of the range is part of the Kalakkad Mundathurai Tiger reserve.Elephants and Gaurs can be seen during the trek...............
