The Pied kingfisher and the Katla

It seems this is its regular perch. It is nice that the fish has been freshly caught and its head is towards us an the water of the tank is seen in the background giving us all the information about its habitat. Frontal lighting would have helped in controlling the whites better. It is not easy to get the whites and darks under control without losing details. The smaller mound on the right leading to the larger one which is its perch enhances the image, as there is a gradual leading line to the bird from the lower right corner. Thanks for sharing.

Quite a big catch :). The low angle looks good. Agree the eye contact from the fish further enhances the image. Nicely captured. Thanks for sharing.

Lovely image. like the low angle, perch and BG. the catch is big bonus.nice work. The catch doesn't look like a katla.
