It was my first encounter with the funnel web spider and during the recent trip to Jambhulmal we came across a huge abundance of funnel web spiders. This particular one was a really shy/cautious one and would get inside with even slightest of our movement on movement of the dried grass/leaves lying around. This a moment when the beauty decided to peek outside to check if it was safe to come out.

The eyes can be seen with good details. The large leaf on the left attracts attention, but nothing you could do about it as moving closer to get it bigger in the frame might have scared him off. The web looks nice. Thanks for sharing.

This shows the way this spider's web looks like. The leaf also gives an indication of the relative size of the web of this spider. Thanks for sharing.
