Nice details achieved in spite of the black and white combination.I would have preferred a little more space and environment all around, though.

The low angle looks good. Nice eye contact. Moving just a bit more to the left would have helped to avoid the structure in the background. After clicking a few images you can check and if the bird is still present, you can try to improve the composition. Thanks for sharing.

Was the original image underexposed? Was it infront of someone's house? What is the object in the background directly behind its beak?
