Good details. Nice eye contact. I would have liked a bit more space at the bottom to include the legs or you could have composed to not show the legs. A wider composition to show the habitat would have been nice. Thanks for sharing.

Nice image. I think about -1/3rd EC perhaps would have been better. I agree with Mrudul that more space at the bottom for its legs would strengthen the composition. Have you tried a vertical composition? It becomes easier to create a pleasing composition of tall birds if you click in vertical orientation. In horizontal more space in the direction it is looking or moving is needed. Thanks for sharing.

While wandering the villages here during this time, it is one of the very few common sightings still left. Details of eyes and bill look nice. As Madam Mrudul has noted, we surely miss the yellow feet contrasting with black legs. I will only say she has not seen muddy paddy fields and mudflats of our place much. How difficult it is to get yellow.....!
