Shot in Pangot earlier this year in March. A flashier cousin of the crow, it takes the usual wide range of food, such as invertebrates, other small animals, and fruit and some seeds. It robs nests of eggs and also chicks. Vocal mimicry is very apparent in this species and its calls are very varied, but the most usual are a grating rattle and a high pitched whistle a little like a flute.

Nikon D90, Nikkor 300 mm f4 with TC 14E, at 420mm, ISO 200, 1/100s - F/5.6

Long interesting tail held horizontally. It is good that you got eye contact. Looks like it was a bit far. The background attracts attention.
