I was just roaming around the vast open land in the SGPGIMS, Lucknow campus when I saw these two lovely pair of Sarus from the corner of my eye..Went ahead into knee deep wetland to get a closer shot & was blessed with this picture..Sarus Crane is world's tallest flying bird..reaching up to 5.9" feet in height!!

Nice.. like the vertical compo, can do with a lil more space at the bottom. sharing the EXIF will help in critique.

Good to hear about the presence of these birds in the campus. Earlier Sarus cranes were common in the wetlands and even found in cultivated fields.
What was the shutter speed and aperture? You may look for situations where the two birds are looking or moving in one direction so that it results in symmetry and makes the image more pleasing. Thanks for sharing.

Nice sighting of these tall and graceful birds. The vertical composition works well with the tall birds and the grass. You could have tried using a narrower aperture. Thanks for sharing.
