Canon 7d, 300 + 2x tc at f/7.1,1/500 sec ,Iso-400, exp bias -0.3, cropped image. Bright spot near tail was removed.

Beautiful colors and composition Nice angle given by the lovely head turn .The muted colors and the clean background are a plus too.Thanks for sharing.

The dive was not successful, the boy was did 2/3 unsuccessful more, then left the place . Thanks roopak, Mrudul and Abhirup.

The image shows nicely curved body and beak. Hope to see an image of a kingfisher with a fish on its beak.

PS: I have never counted the percentage of times a kingfisher is successful in its dive :(
