We had just entered Jhirna buffer zone on our afternoon safari when this jackal made an appearance. Was busy rummaging through the bushes looking for food. This was clicked at 2.30 in the afternoon.

Nice specimen. It looks like Indian Jackal sub-species: Canis aureus indicus. Seems it appeared in the scene before you were battle-ready. The Jackal gets frightened easily, but its confident walking pose here is liked by me. Thanks for sharing.SaktiWild

P.S.: Murugan Bhai has arrived, so things are going to happen.

Thanks for your comments Saktida.

PS: Humility is a trait not often seen in people, always try to learn that through your comments. Thanks Saktida.

Nice to see a jackal in the open and that too crossing the road in daylight. Slight off centered composition would be nice. Thanks for sharing.
