This is from the archives. Taken last year in Kaziranga National Park. It was a pleasure to see it relaxing in the small water hole. It was too close for my 100-400mm lens so had to go for a tight composition.

Canon 1D Mark IV, Canon 100-400mm, f8, 1/500, ISO 400, Focal length 115 mm, hand held, full frame

Nice. good details. I guess a lower angle was not possible as the animal seems to be in ditch.

Nice habitat image. Its horn has not grown sharp or partially damaged. Some injury mark is visible. Thanks for sharing.SaktiWild

This rhino was sleeping in the waterhole close to the road. When we arrived, it got up after sometime and stood still for a long time. The injury on the head appeared to be recent. You will see the same rhino at around 47 seconds in this video. http://youtu.be/DhWYOP66_ck
