A Yellow-wattled Lapwing (Vanellus malabaricus) runs in Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve, India

Canon EOS 40D, Canon EF 400mm F2.8 L IS USM, ISO 200, F4, 1/500, full frame.

Nice shot, wish the leaf wasn't there. Gives a good portrayal of the environment too. Perhaps more off centered would have been better...?

Sharp. Nice low angle. Would have loved a bit more space at the bottom.

The presence of the leaf can be looked at in 2 ways...
It gives a break to the colour them of the image, hence adds dynamism. Secondly, it could also be considered distracting as it draws the eye away from the bird...
