Heavily-built Rhesus Monkey. It looks like to be from Northern India where its development is the best.
Congratulations for your first posting, that too of such a nice specimen. Thanks for sharing. SaktiWild

P.S.:
The mood and expression nicely captured. I also see in this image, the mood of village women sitting outside their mud-houses by the side of railway track in the winter afternoon while travelling in second class in my student days. The AC coaches have given us comfort but have taken away, inter-alia, a part of the beauty of imagination. SaktiWild

Welcome to IndiaWilds..!!

Nice first post. The expressions and the composition looks fine. There is lot of noise and loss of details. Is this a crop. Please mention the EXIF details like aperture, ISO and shutter speed to help in commenting. Thanks for sharing.

People often think that wildlife photography means clicking shots of tigers, leopards etc. However, it is not often that we get longer sightings of such wildlife. On the other hand, the wildlife that is closer to us can allow us more time for observations and better action, pose etc. Langurs and macaques often give us moody pose with great expressions and that results in good images. Keep on trying.
