Good details. First time I saw a water monitor lizard on a tree. When the boatman spotted it, I took a while to spot it on the tree, I was looking on the ground :). Nice pose with a good eye contact. When I checked my image, my composition is the same :). Will post later. Thanks for sharing.

I was the last to sight it. This fellow was so still that sighting was not easy. Fortunately it remained in the same position and gave ample opportunity to us. Watching it up on a tree was special.
