Infrared Photography: From darkness to light

Canon EOS 5D Mark III (converted to infrared), Canon EF 70-200 f2.8 L IS II USM lens at 70mm, f11, 1/500. I have cropped only the top portion, rest all remaining the same. I had composed this with exactly this composition in mind and knew that I will be cutting off the top sky.

Beautiful. You caught the right moment when the deer looked back. I liked this composition the most from all the three deer photographs. Shows the vastness of the place with the mangrove trees and the path going backwards and at the same time of tranquillity with a lone deer grazing peacefully. Thanks for sharing.

the most visually pleasing one...agree with mrudul the composition is superb. To me again a sense of brooding. the deer seems to have a lot to worry about in that wide expanse.

Beautiful. I see in this image the stunned silence just before the Nor'wester (Kal Baisakhi) in the Sundarbans during April-June. The head turn of the Cheetal Stag as if depicts its worry about other members' safety during the impending thunderstorm. Thanks for sharing. SaktiWild

Agree with the above comments.Sky,earth and water have been beautifully knitted together giving one a surreal sense of infinity and space.The grounding or the cementing factor seems to be the presence of the deer.Just lovely.Thanks for sharing
