Fish owl.
Canon EOS 7D , Canon 300mm f/4 , f/4 , 1/160 , ISO-1600 , EC = +0.7step , handheld.
This was taken in very late evening but surprised to get minimum noise image even after ISO of 1600.
Manage to get enough sharpness even at 1/160 shutter speed.

I like the eye contact. This image is way too dark for me. More details in the bird would have been nice. Higher contrast makes the colours appear deeper. In wildlife photography, creating an image which is as close to the scene as possible is better. Higher contrast and colour temperature often changes the image for the worse as the scene appears artificial. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers,
Sabyasachi

Dada not much of PP is done here , even at EC = +0.7step this is the result. A late evening shot with very poor light. Infect I had to increase exposure while PP this image. More increase in exposure leads to overexposing of front(white parts) of owl.
Though the suggestion are well noted.

Lovely image. I would have raised the black levels slightly, as Sabyasachi suggests. If you have shot raw, its possible to raise shadows without affecting highlights much.

Nice perch and good eye contact. The leaves on the right and top, frames the image nicely. You got it nicely in the low light. With proper hand holding techniques and with the gypsy engine turned off, even at low shutter speeds the image will be sharp. Thanks for sharing.

Nice to see a fish owl image after sometime on the forum. Agree the image looks dark., low light is always a challenge with nocturnal creatures...Incidentally I happened to hear the booming croon of this bird yesterday night.
