SUNDARBANS: Jan 2015 : Yet another Water Monitor Swimming

Water Monitor Lizards of The Sundarbans can grow upto 6.5 ft or so and is a great swimmer. It can remain underwater for one-half of an hour or so.

Watching the water monitor swim was a revelation. During our previous trip we had seen a king cobra swimming and in this trip we saw water monitor swimming. Hopefully tiger swimming in next trip. :) Amazing Sundarban!

I would love to see a water monitor face to face with a croc and want to see their reactions. :) I have so many of these dreams...

Nicely captured. I think you got it fully in the frame. Good composition and eye contact. Agree with Sabyasachi, this was a rare sighting. You never know what you might sight in Sunderbans :). Will post my version soon. Thanks for sharing.
