Spotted this beauty hiding under a leaf, which was again covered by a neighboring plant's leaf, and peeping slightly out of it to check for any upcoming prey. Later, probably curious of my lens, started moving around and for some moment started posing for the lens before heading off to some alternative location.
ID help appreciated

Try a monopod and switch off the flash and see if you are able to get sharp shots.

I dont know how comfortable I would be with tripods or monopods as most of these macro shots are taken in local gardens or National park, where any equipement like tripod or monopod results in unnecessary attention of any passerby or kids and in case of National parks, any by passing forest officaial whom I have observed threatening ppl of imposing fine for getting any videography equipment(for them a tripod/monopod is something a person uses for doing professional or commercial video shoots. I myself had experienced it once and I had explained him the difference but then we were lucky and he preferred moving on). I shall surely try those when I plan off some photowalks with bigger groups, might be safer that way.
