Nice image of this shy species. not easy to get this one. sad to know a habitat with so much biodiversity is going to be lost forever. Isn't Basai classified as IBA? Is the construction related to the express highway??

wetlands across the country are facing the same fate and on the other hand we complain about the fall in ground water levels.

Nice image. The low angle looks good. A still higher shutter speed would have helped to freeze the movement. Wetlands are considered as wastelands. With no protection the land is grabbed for construction :(. Thanks for sharing.
