When patience is the only answer : It all started with 1 hour 45 minutes & then 355 days, 24 hours, 1.5 hours & then another 15minutes is what it took to capture this small mischievous bird from Siberia. A migrant, it is found near the boating area in Bharatpur which is highly susceptible to human intervention & jarring vehicles. What becomes crucial when shooting in such environment is understanding the behavioral pattern of such species. Additional, timing their activity is the only way you can be confident of the outcome. One also needs to understand that while clicking birds, never run after them. Stay at one place & wait patiently, this technique though a supreme test of patience can never go wrong. Indeed! worth the wait it was.

Nice sighting of this rare beauty. Your patience has paid off. If possible (the bird was still perched) slightly shifting the camera to the left would have helped to avoid the out of focus vegetation on the right. Thanks for sharing.
