Sighted this rare beauty one early morning in the beautiful surroundings of Binsar, near a natural ground water spring.

Nikon D 7000, 300 F2.8, 2x, 600mm@ 5.6, ISO 1600, exposure 1/60s, Tripod.

Off to Kolkata today and from 28th March will be in Kaziranga.

nice to see this. Good eye contact.... the paper ? near the tail is distracting.

Beautiful bird. Nice eye contact. The light was low, else a narrower aperture would have been nice to get the tail feathers in focus. Have a nice trip. Thanks for sharing.
