We saw several wild boars however this one was in the open. This wild boar was perhaps looking for crabs or other such delicacies. Its hair is combed straight up. :)

It was nice to sight this huge boar in the open. Compared to last time (3 years back) lot of deers and wild boars were sighted. Indicating that the prey base has increased, which is a good sign. Nicely captured. Thanks for sharing.

Shri Sabyasachi is absolutely right. This wild Pig was busy in hunting crabs and digging up to locate buried or stranded fish during low tide.
Period of low tide was limited and Pig was fully exposed in the open. The erectile ridge of hair from the forehead to hindquarters bristles was standing up in alert. And yet, I agree - 'tiger following' - could have been dropped.
Kind regards,

I think a few minutes after this sighting we were told that a tiger was chasing wild boars just opposite the dobanki jetty.
