These massive beasts have some noticeable physical feature. Their segmented hide looks like a formidable coat of natural body armor. The prominent horn for which these rhinos are so well known has also been their downfall. The image was shot near Daflong tower, Kohora

Nikon D 7000, Nikor 300 f 2.8, shot with two stop down 300 @ f 3.5, ISO 200, 1/500s

Nice display of the habitat. I liked the framing with the two egrets (?). Nicely captured. Thanks for sharing.

Nice sighting. E. P. Gee once studied on length of horns of Rhino of Kaziranga and estimated the average at about 8 inches, the longest being 16 inches.
This Rhino has remarkably long and very sharp horn. I think, the horn may be around 10-11 inches. Good work done. Thanks for sharing. SaktiWild

Nice composition. It doesn't look like you were on the top of a tower. Looks more like from a jeep front seat if not from the ground?

The egrets are in breeding plumage and look nice. Some more sharpness would have been great. Thanks for sharing.

PS: One stop narrow than 2.8 is f4.

Dear Sabyasachi, Thank you for the information. I use to think one stop is 0.3 because reduction of the aperture moved at an increment of .3 i.e. 2.8 to 3.2 and then 3.5. I need to learn techniques from you sooner than later
