The red Pierrot (Talicada nyseus) is a small but striking butterfly found in the Indian Subcontinent and South-East Asia belonging to the lycaenids, or blues family. The red Pierrots, often found perching on the Kalanchoe plant, are usually noticed due to their striking patterns and colors.

Nice image. Liked the bright colours and the patters. Is this full frame? Slight more space on the left would have been nice. Please post the camer details and the EXIF details to help in commenting. Thanks for sharing the detailed information. Where was this photographed?

I agree with Mrudul's comment. Sharing the details of camera, lens, aperture, iso, shutter speed etc will help us in commenting better. The butterflies will never fail to warm up our hearts. The colour combination in this butterfly is nice as if someone has done a painting. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers,
Sabyasachi
