Nice. good eye contact, if this is a crop removing the hint of the teak leaf on the left with more space on the right might help.

Jungle owlets are intresting subjects to watch considering they belong to a nocturnal group but spend a lot of time out in the day. I see a pair regularly close to my ancestral home. They sit motionless for long periods on a favorite perch and then suddenly get into a flurry of action only to be back quickly for another bout of static. The action includes flying from perch to perch, chasing each other, swooping down on unseen prey, calling, kissing and ritual feeding....the avian challenge to the bollywood romantic song.

The shot is excellent in terms of frame selection and focusing.

I love its piercing eyes. The patterns on the owlet closely match the texture of the tree. The yellow of the eye looks like that of the yellow leaf. It gives us some idea about how each species is connected with its habitat. Thanks for sharing.
