During winter months tigers tend to step onto dirt tracks to catch the sun and get some warmth. The time when such spectacle would unfold is not predictable. Generally, 100% perspiration with 100% luck may bring about a good sighting. Such was the case of this sighting, we were aware of the presence of a tiger in a patch and were waiting and driving through the area alternately, finally we decided to move and try some other areas when suddenly realized that there was the ghost of the forest crossing the dirt track in front of our gypsy.

Sure that the tiger is enjoying the warmth coming out to the open. This helps in relaxing its muscles. Very natural image. Thanks for sharing. SaktiWild

Nice sighting. Your patience paid off. Looks like a young tiger, female? A narrower aperture would have been nice. How long was the sighting? Thanks for sharing.

Dear Mrudul Madame,

The sighting was for about 15 minutes, she sat on the dirt track then got up and walked to the farther end for about 200 meters before entering into the right side bush.

Nice to see this. Watching a tiger in the wild is always a blessing. If the tiger was about 5-6 feet behind, the light would have fallen on it and its magnificent coat would have shone in the sunlight. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers,
