Like a stone sphinx facing the wind.
Shot this beauty on banks of Ramganga. They spend much of its time perching upright on bare branches over water bodies, occasionally flying down to catch fish. A near threatened species as per IUCN. the population of grey-headed fish eagles are declining, due to numerous and varied threats. The loss of suitable wetland habitat, deforestation, over-fishing, siltation, persecution, human disturbance and pollution resulting in a loss of nesting sites and reduced food supply.

Nikon D 3100, Nikor 300f2.8 x 2x kenko teleconvertor, shot @ 600mm f5.6, ISO 320, Exposure 1/2000s

The branch is lovely. Some more sharpness would have been good. A good beanbag would be of help when clicking at longer focal lengths. Thanks for sharing.
