Most of the time this bird seen together (male & Female) very close to each other, never seen alone.
Image clicked at Ayodhya Nagar lake, Bhopal.
Canon 7D, ef 400 f/4 DO with 1.4x Tc II at f/7.1 ,1/50 sec, Iso-400, Ec-0, FF image.

Nice.Light seems low. like the low angle and eye contact, the grey BG highlights the colours on the bird. If light supports more DOF to get the marshy habitat of the bird into focus wud been great.

This is a female bird, painted snipes show reverse sexual dimorphism

Thanks Rajeev for identification, I have assumed general observation of birds such as colors and size incomparision without refering to birds guide ,hence this had happened . Learning from this thread : No further asumption .

Thanks Mrudul and roopak , It was too late around 6:48 PM , I'm never happy with the ISO performance of my gear , in that situation increasing DOF leads to further slow down the speed. I'll try with greater DOF sometimes if light will be better .
