Those towering eyes

The eyes of Two tailed Wolf spider.
Very commonly seen taking perfect camouflaged refuge on palm tree, in coastal areas, Spotted this in my native place, almost invisible from non curious eyes. Wanted to capture the posture and how the eyes were set so high to have a clear view of its prey and predators.

The two eyes on top can be seen clearly. This was photographed on the tree bark? Did you try any closer compositions? Nicely captured. Thanks for sharing.

I wanted to get most of the width of the spider, the way it sits hugging the palm tree, so didnt try any closer frames, also, I think, it might have ran off had I tried to get even more closer(I guess, should have tried though)

I agree, the turret-like eyes of this spider are very intriguing :). Wish you could get closer. It's not too difficult with these spiders. I had photographed one using a cell phone and magnifying glass once. Was barely a couple of centimetres away from it, and it didn't run.
