You definitely do not believe your stars when in abundance, you come across rarity. Time: 6:45 A.M On the cold morning of December, I was waiting for the gates to open at Velavadar, Blackbuck National Park. One moment I was confused & the very next moment was full of anxiety & excitement. Right through the ticket window, I could see a jackal look-alike walking on cold-misty morning. Having seen jackal couple of times, I wasn't convinced about it being jackal. The very next moment I hear few guards announcing that its a wolf. With camera tucked away in its comfort & lens in its own; capturing the wolf within that short span available seemed difficult. What made it even more difficult was the fact that wolf was continuously walking while keeping close eyes on our movement. From one side of road to other, our eyes & lenses followed wolf at a distance wherever it went. All that was needed was 15secs pause & one look at camera. Indeed! he made it. A click that i will remember more for went into its making than the rarity I spotted.

Light seems to be pretty low. Good that you got a sighting. Wish you had better light. Thanks for sharing.

Nice to get a wolf to welcome you to the park :). Good you got it looking towards you. Agree about the light. The open grasslands look nice. Thanks for sharing.

The stealthy Wolf standing in the midst of savanah grassland in winter.... mystic image, like a beautiful painting. The wolf looks heavier in its winter coat. Thanks for sharing. SaktiWild
