ARhacophorus malabaricus froglet from Agumbe (July 2014)

One can find a lot of these froglets around wells and tanks where this species breeds. The froglets are about 1.5 cm in length and are also commonly found resting on leaves.

The yellow colour with black spots might be making easy to spot. The low angle and the eye contact looks nice. Such a small creature, while trekking how do you do the spotting? Thanks for sharing.

This one is really cute. The yellow is rich and the pattern is nice. The depth of field despite f16 is low at close distances and slight changes in focal plane can create big difference. Thanks for sharing.

Mrudul: These guys were sitting at the edge of a well at one of the sites I was surveying last year in Agumbe. Saw them when I stopped by the well. During treks, it is usually signs of movement near the path or the loud calls that lead one to frogs.

Roopak: Haven't found any big enough to take down rats yet. :D
