This was also shot at Yewoor. Saw this first time and expecting identification from you.

I have side view profile also.

Body length = around 3 inches.
Height including hair = 1 inch

This is a moth caterpillar, don't know the exact species. Hairy caterpillars are usually moth caterpillars. The hairs secrete an irritating substance when touched, it is supposed to cause severe itching.

Nice composition. Sharp. The colour and the hair are striking. Thinking if you try cropping just a bit of the stone. Just a suggestion, this composition also works well.

A higher Av of at least 8 or so helps in these images. But seeing that you got a shutter speed of 1/40 even at aperture f2.7, f8 would have given a miserably low shutter speed...

Nice image. Have not seen anything like this either.

Maybe a higher ISO would have helped gain a couple of stops on the apreture
