Rajan,
I like the composition. The background is nicely diffused and without any distractions.
I would have liked the side view of the head so that the eye contact would have been better. When clicking a bird looking directly at the lens, it is better to have both the eyes visible ie. beak should be pointed straight towards the lens.
I am sure she will turn out into a fine photographer. She has the abilities and you have been guiding her well.
Cheers,
Sabyasachi

Lovely composition... i would reduce the background brightness a little...
Your daughter seems to be taking leaps and bounds in learning photography... great going... :)

Nice photograph. Good perch and composition. Sharp.
I hope she is reading the comments too :).

Agree about the head turn, but nevertheless a nice sharp shot, good compo too. Playing around with levels and saturation may enhance it further...

Some more of the perch and the bird more to the left . Have you tried this in b/w?

Hi Vikram
Since this was a full frame, could not do anything with the perch.
Here is the B&W version with a little bit of crop to move the bird to the left. Frankly, i like this suggestion of yours . . .

Looks better already!
The fun thing about zooms is that they can also be zoomed out :)
