This was a lucky sighting. We had a nice bout of rains the previous day and the fields around Hampi suddenly turned a light green with the beginnings of new grass.A pair of grouse had come out to feed on these sprigs. Was able to photograph both male and female. It was very difficult to get good images as these were extremely shy and agile They were indistinguishable from the sandstone rocks that dotted the field.Nikon 7100+150-600mm 1/1250s F/8 ISO800 FL500mm morning june2015.

Lovely low angle. Nice eye contact. The rocks around, show how well it is camouflaged with the surroundings. Nicely captured. Thanks for sharing.

This bird can really be missed. The camouflage is so good that one tends to miss it. But you have done well and capture a lovely picture of this bird. Thanks for sharing, Shyamalaji.

The bird looks so sweet. It appears as if someone has really painted this bird. It is aware of the photographer and ready to move off. Good that you could get a shot. Thanks for sharing.
