Long-tailed Shrike is a typical shrike, favouring dry open habitats and found perched prominently atop a bush or on a wire. The eastern or Himalayan subspecies, Long-tailed Shrike tricolor, is sometimes called the black-headed shrike.

Nice sighting. Good catch light on the eye. The tail seems to be short here. Less space on the left would be nice. Thanks for sharing.

Critical focus on the eye/head is always important. And when you are cropping large, it is very even more important to get the focus right. The autofocus covers a large area, when you are cropping large. So it is always helpful to get more depth of field. So atleast f8/f9 aperture would be better.

Due to less details this image and softness this looks more like a painting and the catch light helps.
