Looks like exotics have been planted in the lodge area. It would have been nice to see the entire rhino. Thanks for sharing.

Nice sighting. Agree zooming out a bit to include the rear legs in full would have been better. How is the sighting of Rhinos in Jaldapara? Thanks for sharing.

Nice to see the image from Jaldapara. It seems that the Rhino has come to the salt-lick in front of the lodge. The story of recovery of Rhino population in Jaldapara is of great interest. From a meagre population of about 25-30 in 1970 the number continued to slide alarmingly due to poaching. But concerted effort of both State and Centre, particularly the presence of para-military personnel around was a great deterrent and the Rhino population is now about 200 or so.
Wish to see a photograph of Rhino from you in terai habitat or on the river bed.
