Good composition, though i presume the shutter speed may have been very low (there seems to be a bit of a shake and hence lack of sharpness). Is this a crop ?

A beautiful specimen as a first post. I somehow find the eyes of these species mesmerising. Found a few of them recently, but couldnt get close enough with my 135mm without them flying away :D ...

Agree about the shake... But still a good first post. I like the heron's pose here, good eye contact too.
