Lovely pose. The raised crest adds to the image. Liked the composition. Where was this photographed? Thanks for sharing.

Nice look out pose of this magnificent raptor. Good eye contact and composition. I like the way they bobb and swing the head around ( supposedly done to judge distance to the object of intrest).

Nice environmental image. Why shoot at 450mm and crop when you have 600mm at your disposal? With such a long zoom lens at your disposal it is always better to quickly check between the various focal lengths and shoot several compositions.

If possible, if you could have raised yourself then there would have been a separation between the crest and the branch.

Initially get a quick shot or two for record and then proceed to compose in the field. Also, based on the composition try to see if the branches are in focus or not and then select an appropriate aperture. In crowded safari vehicles there is always a chance of someone moving and ruining the shot. However, better to try and get it right in the field as that helps us becoming a better photographer.

Thanks for sharing.
