Good to know Sambar population has grown in Australia, but at the same time its sad that the population in India is diminishing. Nice to see the young fawn. I would have liked a bit more space at the bottom than at the top to include its legs in full. Thanks for sharing.

I didn't know about this 'export'. Does it not have implications such as the dispersal of Australian flora to India?

There is a very low impact,not on wildlife..in fact they are prey animals for dingo/wild dogs.
Some very minor and slight damage is done to trees for rubbing out.

They do crop damage where farms are up against the forest.

They have been here for so long that they are now basically a new sub species.
