Nice image. Difficult conditions to photograph as the light seems to be harsh and the bird is perched such that there is shadow on it. What time was this photographed? Early morning or late afternoon light is best to photograph. You could have waited for a moment or so to get some eye contact that would have strengthened the image further. As Roopak has mentioned, it is their favourite plant, so it might be frequenting this place. So you can try to photograph the bird in good light. Thanks for sharing.

I agree with the previous comments. If you make some effort then you can get close up shots of these sunbirds. You need to be patient and wait at a place where they frequently visit.
