Beautiful documentation of cute little calf with red eared cow elephant. Elephants can reproduce as long as they can, generally throughout their life span. From the red ear of this cow elephant one can make out she is on the older side.

Lovely feeling to the photo. Good details on the wrinkles of the trunk, the caked mud on the back and sides and the mischievous, inquisitive eyes of the young fellow. Some more space on the top will further enhance this nice composition.

thanks for sharing

Nice moment captured. Watching their bonding is precious. The kid has also done mud bathing like its mother and slowly learns the tricks to survive in this hostile environment. At the right side of the frame there is a hint of a dead tree branch jutting into the frame. Without that it would look better. Thanks for sharing.

Cheers,

Very touching scene. The little calf, hardly about 6 months old, is trying to locate the breasts of the cow elephant with its underdeveloped trunk before suckling. Mother Nature with her abundant kindness has given the she elephant the breasts leaning outward for helping such clumsy baby.
Agree with Debashis Bhai that the mother is aged, as evident from the light pink on head and trunk as also pink border forming on lower edge of ears.
Nicely documented. Thanks for sharing. SaktiWild
