this bird was spotted near Itanagar this afternoon feeding around in the meadow. image is cropped to frame. ID not known but appears to belong to Lark family. pl give input. thanx.

I think it is Striated Grassbird (Megalurus palustris)..considering the back portion, beak and posture...was there any damp, wetland or river near the meadow where the bird was foraging?

thanx Samrat for the feedback, yes it was foraging in a paddy field with swamps.

Looks like it is holding something in its beak. The markings on its body is sync with its name. Thanks for sharing.
