SUNDARBANS: April 2012: Dinosaurian SaltWater Crocodile

During last one month or so, Members of IndiaWilds are posting images of 'Giants' only......Whether it is a Tusker with 'Record Tusks' sloping down to ground or,.......a 'Monitor Lizard' as large as a Mugger.

We had a dream tour of Sundarbans in April 2012 with 'King Cobra Swimming' photograph by Madam Mrudul, and Classic image of this Monarch by Shri Sabyasachi. I have not seen such immaculate images in any books on Sundarbans so far. I move on reminding my soul....' A thing of beauty is a joy for ever'.

It was an amazing sighting of this huge crocodile. It was a great trip :). Thanks for posting this image, Saktida. Looking forward to visit Sunderbans again soon.

It was a giant indeed. This image with the leaves etc gives a different look than the normal sight of a croc basking in the sun. Hopefully we will see this fellow soon. Thanks for sharing and rekindling our memories.
