Star in Sands of Konakn

Dear Friends,

Star fish shot at Diveagar beach in Konkan, Maharashtra. It was 24th March 2016 & a morning walk on the beach, when this creature was spotted.

Beautiful creation in prefect shape of a star. Nice to hold & see it very close.

Nice. This is probably Asteropecten indicus. It has been such a long time since I strolled the beaches of Maharashtra, especially the ones around Mumbai. In the right season, you can see the beaches completely littered with these starfish.
