Nice perch. You could have shifted the camera a bit more to the left, so the bright area on the right could have been reduced and also the tip of the tail feathers (presently cut) could have been included. Also slight less space at the bottom and more on the top would have been good. Thanks for sharing.

I agree with the previous comments. Our brain looks for continuity and hence if a body part is cut, then the attention goes away. The white wall is in the background. So normally cameras have a tendency to read from the entire scene and expose accordingly so that the subject becomes dark. If the subject is dark, then you are likely to get more noise when you pull up the brightness during post processing.
