Looks like it has got out of a waterhole. Where was it clicked? Tigers in India cannot live without a waterhole nearby to cool off. With more and more forests becoming thin due to tree cutting and mountains getting denuded our streams and rivers are getting impacted. The tigers are increasingly becoming dependent on man-made waterholes in some of these premier parks.

Very true Patra ji. This was at Bandhavgarh. There was an article in today's Hindustan Times Delhi NCR about the increase in the tiger cub population at Bandhavgarh .. so while it is easier to spot one here, unlike sunderbans (per your article, haven't been myself)..but they are found near man made water holes and somewhat loose their wild appeal
