An incident of Tiger attack on two people took place in Banshbari range in Manas National Park on 27th of last month. These two people were reported to be poachers who entered the forest for the poaching of deer..finally one of them was died on the spot and another could save his life but was badly injured.

Two men entered into the tiger territory to kill it and the tiger in defense killed one and injured other, but we humans call it tiger attack. I am glad that tiger survived and the person got the reward for his misdeed.

Agree with Debasis. Two men entered illegally into a forest (which is a crime) to kill a tiger or some animal (which is again punishable under wildlife act) and if the tiger in self-defense kills one of them then what wrong is it? That is natural justice. A tiger is not just going to attack them without any rhyme or reason. Tiger is not a blood-thirsty killer on the lose. These fellows may have fired at the tiger or cornered the tiger leaving the tiger no escape route. Forget a tiger, even if you stop the escape route of a deer then it will try to rush headlong and push you aside.

The problem is we don't know how much harm these poachers have inflicted on the tiger.
